I was lucky enough to book Melissa and Victor’s wedding at The Hacienda in Orange County only a few weeks before the wedding date! They were such a sweet, young, and successful couple I felt honored that they found me. The venue was a Spanish style, which I love. It was originally a classic home built in 1901 located in historic Santa Ana, CA The Hacienda exhibits history at its best with its warm atmosphere and charming ambiance. The flowers were done by Jen of The Twisted Twig who is so talented, I loved the combinations she used in the centerpieces and bouquets. The wedding was packed with friends and family, so many people that love Melissa and Victor were there to support them. Here are some of my favorites!
When Meghan and Jim booked me for their wedding in Akron, Ohio, I knew that I liked them and would get along easily with them right away. They both are involved in video production and I can spot a fellow tech-savvy friend from a mile away! I honestly didn’t know what to expect of the location having never been to Ohio, but I was very excited to see the state in what I hear it the most beautiful time of year. It was so green and beautiful!! I loved the scenery and architecture and wide open spaces… something we surely don’t have enough of in Southern California! I love my destination weddings because without fail, everyone makes me feel so comfortable and included and this was no exception! I loved their family, some of the nicest and most down to earth people I have met in a while. Meghan and Jim were so happy, yet also relaxed and having a great time….everything was pretty much the ideal wedding! I also was in love with the special video piece that the couple came up with featuring interviews of their married friends and family members. It was hilarious and touching that among both young and old, newlyweds and marriage veterans, all the couples said pretty much the same thing about making it as a married couple…. the best part is being with your best friend forever. Here are some of my favorite pics!
It is always such an honor when a friend asks me to photograph her wedding. This is what I love to do. I am so inspired by the love I see at each of my photo shoots. I am inspired by the unique family dynamics, the hope and excitement in the bride and groom on the first day of a new chapter of their lives. And it truly is a new chapter…. having experienced the feeling of marrying my best friend and becoming a real and new family together, I am excited to see “my couples” making this same commitment and embarking on this journey together. I am also so happy to have just a little part in it. Breanne and I have been friends for a long time and she even helped me as my personal trainer when I was getting ready for my own wedding, not to mention many other ties we have through other mutual friends. So when she asked me to photograph her big day I was so happy to be able to be there helping to capture the moments. Everything was so beautiful. Bree’s good friend Natasha of Classic Creations did an amazing job on the flowers and Orfilia Winery was so green and lush. The day was filled with laughter and smiles… here are a few of my favorite images.
Cami and Joe’s wedding was really like a fairy tale. The ceremony took place at Founder’s Chapel at USD and it is one of the most beautiful churches to be married in all of San Diego and the reception was in a big white tent on the shore of the Coronado Marriott. It was truly the kind of wedding every girl dreams of! Joe was so sweet as he greeted guests before the ceremony, you could tell that he was bursting with joy and excitement, I couldn’t help smiling behind my camera as I watched how happy everyone was. When Joe saw Cami for the first time walking down the aisle in her beautiful dress he just about started jumping up and down! Maybe he did…just a little! The whole day went so smoothly due to flawless coordination by Rachel of Bliss Events and the flowers were some of the most beautiful I have seen all year thanks to Betty Bliss of Bliss Fine Florals. I was so impressed with the reception decor, I loved the style and variety of flowers…it really makes my job easy to capture such a beautiful wedding and happy couple!! Not only did we have all these elements perfectly in line, but I was lucky enough to work with Bronson from Bauman Photographers as my second shooter! Since Bronson has been shooting his own gorgeous weddings for years it made for some pretty amazing coverage! Here are some of the favorites!
